Nata a Firenze la sua fiorentinità traspare anche nei suoi quadri. La passione per la pittura la rapisce ancora bambina proseguendo fino a quando decide di iscriversi alla Scuola di Pittura della Prof.ssa Andrea Sole Costa presso il D.L.F. di Firenze. Ivi, stimolata dalla presenza di altri appassionati, sperimenta varie tecniche pittoriche (acrilico, olio, spatola, acquerello, disegno con matite a gesso) sentendo tuttavia più adatta alla sua ispirazione la pittura ad olio e acrilico. Ha partecipato a tutte le mostre colletttive della Scuola in Italia e all'estero. Nella sua qualità di dipendente del Comune di Firenze ha partecipate a mostre organizzate dall'Amministrazione Comunale sia a Firenze (collettiva al Palagio di Parte Guelfa) sia in Francia (collettiva al Palazzo Comunale di Reims). I soggetti sono molteplici, come molteplici sono i suoi interessi, e la sua curiosità di donna e di artista si è fermata più amorevolmente sugli animali: sui cani e sui gatti in particolare; ma non ha trascurato la sua città, come si diceva, dipingendone alcuni caratteristici aspetti.
Maria Elisabetta ha ancora molto da dire e noi attendiamo che ella ci parli con la sua arte, con i suoi quadri e con il suo amore per la vita in ogni sua forma.

Born in Florence, her Florentine nature shows itself also in her paintings. Her passion for painting ravished her when she still was a child and continued till she decided to enrol in the Painting School of Andrea Sole Costa at the Railwaymen’s Club of Florence. Here she was stimulated by the presence of other painting lovers and tried out several painting techniques (acrylic, oil paints, palette knife, watercolour, chalk pencil drawing) though feeling oil paints and acrylic more suitable for her inspiration. She took part in all the group exhibitions of her School in Italy and abroad. As employee of the Florence municipality she took part in exhibitions organized by the Municipal Administration both in Florence (group exhibition at Palagio di parte Guelfa) and in France (group exhibition at the Town Hall of Reims). The subjects of her paintings are manifold as various are her interests. Her curiosity as a woman and as an artist paused more tenderly on animals, particularly on dogs and cats, but she didn’t disregard her town and painted some of its distinguishing marks. Maria Elisabetta still has a lot to say and we wait for her speaking to us with her art, with her paintings and with her love for life in all its forms.
